Taiwan Power Company, Taipower has announced that it will hold an open bid for the construction of a 4.5MWp solar power generating system in Yungan, Kaohsiung County on August 17, according to DigiTimes.
Taiwan-based solar cell makers Motech Industries, DelSolar and other makers are expected to participate in the bidding.
The Yungan solar power plant is the first of its kind in Taiwan and is part of Taipower's plans to build up a total of 10MWp solar power-generating capacity in 2010, according to Taipower's roadmap.
